May has brought abundant rains, wonderful news, and the return of summer. This month, our wine Pureza has received two prestigious recognitions. One of them comes from the renowned American wine guide Wine Enthusiast, which has named it among the ten best muscat wines in the world. We love that people love it.
What better moment, now that summer is approaching, to enjoy this special wine chilled? We call Pureza a white wine with the soul of a red because of its strong character and depth. It is a handcrafted wine, fermented and refined in amphoras—specifically, in vats made by the now-retired master potter Juan Padilla from Villarrobledo.
Aging wine in amphoras is a technique that requires great sensitivity to achieve balance and authenticity. It enhances aromatic purity, provides a silkier texture, highlights minerality, and strengthens the connection between sustainability and tradition.
Our Pureza is fine and delicate, with aromas of freshly cut roses, jasmine, and orange blossom. On the palate, it is broad and full-bodied, with beautiful acidity that gives it verticality and saline notes that transport us to a nearby and ever-present sea. Not only does it pair well with fish and seafood, but also with meats and soft and creamy cheeses. What about you?
