Tim Atkin MW gifts us with new scores

In the height of summer heat and with the grapes on the verge of perfection, we receive wonderful news from Tim Atkin MW who has just published a new article on Spain: “Discover Spain 2024 – Special Report by Tim Atkin and Beth Willard” where over 600 samples covering the regions of Cantabria, Castilla y León, Extremadura, La Mancha, Levante, Navarra and the Basque Country were tasted. Among them, Casa Agrícola Tinto 2022 outstands with 97 points in their list of the 15 top wines. Our small project Casa Agrícola is attracting the interest of sommeliers, Masters of Wine and top wine guides, receiving several awards including Most Sustainable Winery in Spain 2024 and top scores from the likes of Robert Parker Wine Advocate for our entire range of wines. Here are Tim´s comments on our wines:97 points, Pepe Mendoza Casa Agrícola Tinto 2022, Alicante, 14%.Tasting notes: A wonderfully vibrant and elegant wine showing sunny Mediterranean fruit.
Wonderfully spicy on the nose, with Campari and sun-dried tomato, the palate is all blueberry and plum.
It is addictively Moorish, with fresh acidity and a saline note on the finish.
2024 – 2028 95 puntos, Pepe Mendoza Casa Agrícola Pureza 2022, Alicante, 13%Tasting notes: 100% Moscatel from 70-year-old vines. A very attractive nose of lime and herbs gives way to a refreshing and precise palate with some texture and grip.
It is the best expression of Moscatel.
